Labor Day Weekend Festivities

August 31, 2016

This Labor Day weekend, be sure to take your family and friends to Harbor Drive in downtown San Diego. Let the cool breeze from the harbor cool you off when you stroll through Seaport Village. Experience the Festival of Sail and the US Sand Sculpting Exposition to get your three-day weekend started. There will be plenty to see with some of the best scenic views in San Diego. The scent of great food and desserts will make it tough for you to decide what to eat first, but there are a variety of foods to choose from.

Enjoy circus performers, sand sculpting classes, and much more with your family at the US Sand Sculpting Exposition. There will be dozens of food trucks waiting to serve you some of the best gourmet food from all over the country.

Maybe you and the kids would rather watch some of the tallest ships sail into the bay. Be sure to check out the Festival of Sail to see some the oldest ships fire cannon salutes and dock in the Harbor. Get a glimpse of what transportation looked like from years ago by climbing on board to take a rare look at history!

Admission is only $5 for Active Military when your I.D. is shown at the front gate. Paid lots will be near the events, but if you don’t want to battle for a parking spot, the trolley station is located a short three blocks away.
