Hey, Naval Complex San Diego! Did You Know That Balboa Park Offers Free Admission to Select Attractions on Tuesdays?
June 3, 2015
With a rich history that can be traced all the way back to 1892, Balboa Park is San Diego's crowning jewel. It's not difficult to see why, either! This 1,200-acre urban cultural park — the largest of its kind in the country — offers a little something for everyone, and it's just moments from Naval Complex San Diego! It's famously home to the San Diego Zoo, of course, but Balboa Park also hosts botanical gardens, boutiques, performing arts venues, restaurants, a 20th-century carousel and mini railroad, and 15 museums that educate and inspire with exhibits pertaining to art, science, automotives, natural history, and other fascinating subjects.
Best of all, the public service program Residents Free Tuesdays grants residents of San Diego County free access to select Balboa Park attractions during the first four Tuesdays of every month. The offer is also extended to active members of the military and their dependents!
