Don’t Miss Out on the Pacific Islander Festival

September 19, 2013

Both San Diego and California display a meager 0.5% population of Pacific Islanders; however, that doesn’t represent the amount pride they show! Just like the Pacific Islander mantra, they live big and the Pacific Islander Festival is nothing short of that stature.

Be sure to take in the Festival on September 21 & 22, honoring and celebrating the Pacific Island cultures of Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia, you will have no trouble finding fun things to do when you take part in this year’s festival. Head over to Ski Beach on Mission Bay and learn about the culture and customs of the people from these distant lands.

Don’t be shy about getting your share of the tasty island cuisine. Enjoy the music and entertainment and before you leave, make sure you check out the big selection of authentic native crafts. Close to 30,000 people will visit the festival during the 2 days–you don’t want to miss it!
