How About An Old-Fashioned Drive-in Movie at South Bay?
July 23, 2013
There’s nothing more ‘summer’ than a double feature at the drive-in movies; they aren’t as popular as they were in, say the 60s, but there’s no doubt they’re still fun. And not to mention, they’re a lot cheaper than heading to a movie theater for just one flick!
Grab the entire family (or just your significant other) and head to South Bay Drive-In for a single or double feature flick, and make sure you leave room for snacks from their “World Famous Eats.” I must say that they do offer a wide array of options, from classic concession foods to Mexican.
And aside from the whole movie watching thing, they also host Swap Meets on Wednesday and Saturday & Sunday with admission just $1 and $.50, respectively. Parking is free and there are over 300 vendors in attendance selling and trading goods. You never know what you’ll find.
So, make a trip to 2170 Coronado Avenue (between Green St & Nestor Way) in the Nestor neighborhood for a flick, the Swap Meet or both!
