At the San Diego Ice Arena

In the northern regions of the U.S. ice skating is a way of life. Along with playing hockey, ice skating on frozen ponds is a top pastime, but unfortunately (and fortunately, as well) we don’t have the climate to support those areas of recreation–naturally.

That doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy ice skating right here in Southern Cal; we have plenty of indoor venues that allow such leisure to ensue. We can go ice skating any time at LA Kings Ice Town in La Jolla where you can get a one time free lesson for figure skating and ice hockey. The San Diego Ice Arena in Mira Mesa was voted #1 Hang Out For Tweens And Teens on Friday Nights, and the Iceoplex in Escondido offers Broomball!

San Diego may have more of a reputation for being hot than cold, but that shouldn’t stop us from exploring the cold [indoor] climate supported by 21st century technology. We just have the option of stepping outdoors and instantly warming up!
