Big Bay Whale Days Are Here!

January 17, 2013

Like most weekends in San Diego there’s always something to do, but come Saturday, January 26th it’s going to be one “whale” of a day! The 5th Annual San Diego Big Bay Whale Festival is scheduled for that very day from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Port Pavilion on the Broadway Pier.

This event welcomes one and all to interact with hands on displays including a walk-through gray whale, live sea creatures, face painting, art projects, and a bounce house. Oh, and of course, there will be plenty of live music to be taken in provided by James Gibson Band and  newcomers Moon Dog, from Phoenix, AZ  and Velvet Cafe.

If you happen to be busy that day, be sure to take a ride on the Hornblower and San Diego Harbor Excursion whale watching cruises. They guarantee you’ll see a whale, plus for the month of January kids 12 and under may cruise free.

We hope you can make it out!
